OFF-CAMPUS LEARNING RESOURCES

Below are some resources to help you with not only teaching during this unprecedented time but also ways you can look after your own wellbeing. Some of the resources include how to speak to students and parents as well. Please do not forget about our EAP service that is available to all our staff .... and we can 100% guarantee privacy and confidentiality. Please take care of yourselves and look out for each other ..... don't forget to reach out to those that you may not have thought of reaching out to before.

For Years 5 - 8 Teachers to share with their students. A very compact video explaining viruses and in particular the Coronavirus and what student need to be aware of. It does not hide the truth so particularly for the younger years, it would be advisable to encourage parents to sit with their child when they are watching it.

This website is from Berkeley University and discusses various issues from a scientific viewpoint ... which means lots of evidence not just hearsay.  "The Greater Good Science Center studies the psychology, sociology, and neuroscience of well-being, and teaches skills that foster a thriving, resilient, and compassionate society". This particular link looks at how teachers can navigate through the difficult emotions that can occur during school closures.
